Why do I get error 4013 after trying to reboot in DFU

I recently got the red screen of death and replaced the front camera with a new one and it looked like my phone would work but it was still stuck in the apple logo loop but no blue or red screen which I hope is a good sign. However I keep trying to sort this. I've tried updating and restoring in recovery and DFU and have got the error code 4013 iPhone could not reboot. Found no helpful solutions to this, yes I am using the latest iTunes, yes I have tried 3 USBs, yes my WiFi connection is good.

Did anything happen to the phone prior to it getting into the red screen of death bootlooping?

It could even be just that the battery needs replacing.

Worse case scenario: You may have another issue where the U2 Tristar Charging IC chip (Controls charging and even usb connection from phone to cable) has gone bad as well which is a chip on the logic board that needs to be replaced by someone that does micro soldering.

Ironically I actually have a iPhone 5 here with the same symptoms. I think I'll get the U2 Tristar charging IC chip replaced.

Do you use any car chargers or non-genuine / (non-MFI) certified charging cables? A combination of these can cause the charging IC to go bad on the logic board over time.

How can this happen though? one morning I just woke up and I had the red screen, fixed the front camera and it looked like it would work but now its just in boot loop. Is there nothing else I can do other than what you've said? I have a spare iPhone 5 but not 5S, are the batteries for these the same?

The iPhone 5 and 5s batteries are not the same unfortunately, they use a different connector for plugging in the battery.

will it work if using iTunes doesn't? spent hours trying to sort this and I have a-levels and I'm super busy with work so don't want to try it unless it's worked for someone else

I am not sure, but your wifi is fine, usb cable is fine. You need to try another tool. and it won't take you much time.
