iPod touch not going to regular start up screen.

Hello,

My Ipod touch 2nd generation is displaying an itunes logo and a usb cord on the screen and will not respond to touching the screen or turning the device on and off. What do I do? It's never done this before and I'm not sure of techniques I can do to fix this issue.

Options

You need to sync to itunes and possibly do a hard reset. Connect to your pc and let it sync. Then find the iPod (LH column) on your iTunes and you will see a link to reset. Try that and let me know!
