Why is my keyboard pressing 2-3 keys while I press 1

Hey there

So I had some water spilled on my sister's asus laptop.

After telling her to quickly turn it off I opened it up and aired it for about a day, after reassembling it everything was working properly beside the keyboard.

Some keys or even most of them are working just fine but other like 7 are pressing(not physically)on 'y' and 'u' as well.

Could there be a solution or I just need another keyboard top if it's even possible to disassemble just the keyboard

Have you tried an external Keyboard? I would do this to isolate the issue. If the external keyboard works fine, its almost certainly going to need a replacement keyboard.

ASUS X502CA Palm Rest with Keyboard and Touch Pad Replacement

Cant imagine any software causing the issue

Best of luck

Yeah external works just fine

And I can take it apart to the step where I have the whole arm rest with the keyboard and all.

Is it possible to remove the keyboard from it?

The keyboard has shorted out. Replace it.
