Only prints the top of the etters from a word document
When I select a word document from my desk top to print, the printer only prints the top of the letters from the text.

Your issue is likely due to an electrical contact issue between the cartrdige and the printer. Printing in Best quality will likely resolve the issue, but will take twice as long to print.
Print a dignostic page. I suspect the black nozzle pattern will be missing a distinct section of the nozzle pattern. In this case removing the black cartrdige and reinserting it may resolve the issue. If not then cleaning the electrical contacts on the printer and cartrdige as may resolve the issue.
