if the button has fallen out you will have to lift the metal bezel to put it back in.

alternatively if there is damage to the rear case and the button has fallen out because of this, why don't you replace the entire rear cover(with battery and jack already installed)...it'll save time, getting to the rear of the iphone is tedious and tricky.
