Why won't my home button click?

Hi, I recently replaced my iPhone 5s' LCD. The replacement was a success, but the home button isn't clicking. It just feels like it's loose. Touch ID work fine though.

In my case the button has shifted. I put it back and it works fine now for me

How would i do that? I thought it was because something was loose at the home button.

You sure you didn't mount the metal plate behind the home button upside down?

The correct orientation is like a chimney facing up.

Also is it like too dipped in? If this is the case I just bend in the metal of the home button metal plate middle after removing it closer to the home button and install it again then test clickyness.

I've had some aftermarket screens with the plastic screen frame going to the home button placement area when it should not as it should rest on glass not plastic for the black rubber gasket.

The metal plate is behind the home button, but not sure if it's upside down. I will look further into this as soon as i have access to my phone. I will let you know how it goes :)

Try going to the Settings App and select general and then to accessibility. Check for the interaction section and assistive touch.

Now tap the button next to assistivetouch and slide to the position (it should turn green)

iOS has a neat feature that helps when hardware buttons stop working. To activate this, go to the Settings app, and select General, then Accessibility. Scroll down to the Interaction section, and tap AssistiveTouch. Now tap the button next to AssistiveTouch so that it turns green and slides to the on position.
