Motor feels gutless, possible fuel injection issue?

I've heard it might just need a clean or spray? Any ideas? Too vague maybe?

Last time my car felt like this I clean out the mass air flow. MAF sensor. and the throttle body with mass air flow cleaners and it solved the issue.

It is also possible, considering the age of the vehicle, that the catalytic converter may be clogged. This would restrict the flow of exhaust, not allowing the engine to breathe properly, therefore markedly reducing the amount of power it produces. If this is the situation, the proper fix would be replacement of the catalytic converter.
