Why my Mac is so slow when not charging (on battery)?

When my Mac is on power (magsafe) it works perfectly. However, when it is been powered by the battery (not connected to an outlet/not charging) the Mac got very slow, impossible to use.

Well the battery does max out at 76%. I have seen the battery connector get corrosion on it you might check that. Does it take a long time to charge up?

No. It charges perfectly.
