changed the battery on I-phone 3gs , but new battery died

I ordered the fixit battery replacement kit for the I-Phone 3gs, and I completed the swap-out of the new battery, however the battery died less than three days later. and Now it would not charge at all. this was what happened to the first battery that came with the phone. is there someting thatcan be done?

Sounds like you have more than a battery problem. I get the impression that you phone is not charging. I guess you could check with your cable. Make sure it is in good working condition. Have you tried to charge from a AC charger as well as a PC? Any difference? Check your connector on your phone. Make sure there is not debris, clean with qtip. Worst case scenario you may have to replace your charger board i.e http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sk... Now I also remember having read that some people had success by replacing their SIM card, but have not be able to verify this. The Charger Cable is OK as other mobiles is charging on the same charger ....also my mobile is also charging only when we switched off the Mobile but when switched ON it doesn't charged at all
