Blank screen with brightness control, no image

Hi there, I've got a problem with my old, but well treated, Macbook mid 2010 A1342.

So, I had to change the top case, keyboard issues, but everything went well I followed the guide carefully but once everything was mounted I have now a blank screen with no image at all, external monitors and tv's are juste fine, I have brightness controls working but no image. I toke out the HDD reinstalled the OS and nothing, reseting PRAM, and all of the resets possible, nothing works, I tested with other display, same model, and it's the same. Did I "screw" up the logic board?!

I appreciate every kind of comment.

many thanks

I can ad photos if needed.

If it's driving the external monitor the logic board should be fine. I'd reseat the LDVS cable:

Many thanks for your kind answer, before I try this, I would like to say again that I've tried with other A1342 display and I just got the same problem.

A blank screen and external monitor working. If I cringe a bit the display I can see some stripes (left side and right side)

I took some photos:

Do you thing I should do the reseat of the LDVS cable?

Thanks

What's showing up on the external monitor?

by

Everything, I pressed cmd and F1 and I can use the laptop as I used to use it.

Everything works fine with external monitor, but with the integrated display I get the blank screen as we can see in the pictures, any thoughts?

I would examine the LDVS port on the logic board, see if anything is amiss. Also the cable and make sure it is fully seated.

i will try everything you said and come back with the results.

many thanks Mayer

It might be that something went wrong somewhere during the repair and you got something along the backlight circuit shorted. You should start with testing the backlight fuse for continuity. It's the part number F9800 on your board..with a little googling you should be able to find the necessary references to locate it.

It's on the bottom side of the board, quite near the magsafe connector. Sorry but I don't have any board like yours at hand to take a pic.

I juste took a look and they are fine.. backlight its ok.. I can control the brightness with no problem, the screen goes darker or brighter as normal but always with a blank (white) screen..

At this point it sounds like @mayer solution is the only reasonable one left, a bad display after another.
