Compatibility and longevity of the HD Seagate ST2000DM001?

It may be that they have already answered, but I want to know if this Seagate (ST2000DM001) HD is compatible and with my Imac and for your experience what is its useful life, since I have read several negative information about it.

I've put it in the 2009-2012 iMacs with no issues except for the heat sensor on the 2009-2011.

Your 2007 model just uses a stick on thermal sensor so it is not an issue:
