iPhone 7 screen, which parts? Quick questions

Hi, I broke the front glass but the picture and touch itself was all working fine.

I sent it to get fixed and when it come back, the colors are slightly dull. I'm assuming they used a cheap screen so I'm planning on fixing it myself with OEM products.

My question is, would I need the LCD screen and the digitizer or just the LCD?

From what I understand if the LCD is still fully working, so no ink or pixels, then it's just the digitizer that is broke? But I can't find anywhere that's selling just the digitizer?

Also do you think they changed my LCD as I don't think it is a Retina display anymore.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

The best way to go on this is buy a good quality screen assembly and change your cheap one.

You can do a only digitizer replacement but this a much more complex repair to do.

You will need the digitizer, special UV glue, a UV lamp for hardening the glue and a machine to remove the bubbles between the screen and digitizer

On Youtube you can see the complexity and the tools nedeed>

Oh I see. That's a great help. It only took them 30 minutes to fix my phone so they would have changed LCD and digitizer I'm assuming.

Would this be what I'm looking for? I'm in the U.K. And IFixIt don't have any showing in their Europe shop.

Dont know the quality of that part but if that site sits behind theirs parts with a solid warranty and guarantee go ahead and buy it

If the quality of the LCD is the issue, changing the digitizer wouldn't do anything for you! Let's alert @kelsea and see what she says about the EU store

@theimedic Ok, thanks for the info! That makes sense. After a second look, the EU site is the same as the US one. It was just taking me to a weird part of it from the google link. So all sorted and i've ordered a LCD and some tools. Thanks for the help.
