How to replace headphone jack?

Recently the sound of my ipod has become scratchy and very low. I have tried 3 different headphones with my 4th gen ipod, all of which work fine with other devices.

I will try to clean the jack here soon but if that does not fix the problem is it possible to replace the headphone jack myself?

The headphone jack on the iPod Nano 4th Gen is integrated onto the logic board, so to replace the headphone jack you have to replace the entire logic board. You can follow this guide to help you.

Are you sure? I think the jack is soldered to the logic board. With some skills i think it may be replaced (never done that myself yet)

Headphone jacks for this model are hard to find, most are pulled from non-functioning units and re-used. Very easy repair.
