i want to remove front and rear cameras as mobile phones with camera are not allowed in my office?
i want to know is it possible to use smart phone without camera ?

I'm not exactly sure if it would. It should as these are not components that are essential for the phone to function properly.
Give it a shot, the worst that can happen is that it doesn't work and you have to put them back.
That is a stupid rule, I dont know where you work, but unless your in area 51 that rule really doesn't make much sense.

You could also put some electrical tape over the camera, which would be very easy and reversable but im not sure if that would fly where you work.

Since the cameras are connected to the board, disconnecting the cameras will cause the phone to not work. Just power it down.
