hairline crack on screen, how do I choose a replacement screen?

My tablet screen has a thin crack on the upper left side running a quarter of the way up to the top of the display. The device still functions mostly normal but occasionally selects actions and programs I did not intend to engage. I'm seeking a replacement screen but how do I determine which model to order? Because there is no information provided about what the corner boundary widths are.
