Fix a iPod Using my itunes

Hi, can I use my iTunes to fix another persons phone/iPod ? I want to do a DFU restore on my friends iPod but I want to do this at home without having to go to there house to use there I tunes. Can this be done?? How else can you fix software issues.

No. You can't do that on apple devices.

They can do it themselves if they google search how to restore an iDevice.

Personally I think 3UTools (Windows Applicaton) makes this more easier, simpler and faster compared to iTunes.

So how do other businesses fix software problems on Apple products??


The same way you would usually do. I simply just use iTunes or 3UTools with the device in my hand.

If you really want to get a friends device fixed without being there. Guide them on how to do it. Link them to a guide or something.
