My GEmicrowave stopped reheating foods correctly. It starts but stops after a few seconds and then the display says "Stem Sensor Open" . I have googled but can't find anything related specifically about this problem. I have unplugged the microwave and replugged it, but it didn't help.

Thank you for your effort, but I already read this manual and p 20. The issue is that it says "Sensor DOOR OPEN" and it never says how to "close" it. I even tried heating water to steaming just using 2 minutes on the timer and then trying to open and close the door and switching to reheat. It ran longer than 5 seconds - which is good - but it still stopped and said "sensor DOOR OPEN" What is the "Sensor Door?"

My microwave is a GE model#JVM6175EKIES and having the same problem with the sensor. I think it should have said Steam Sensor Open. Bought mine in Dec 2016.
