dropped iPhone 3GS now no power

I dropped my 2 year old iphone 3gs on the concrete from about 2-3 feet off the ground. When I picked it up the power was shut off and would not turn back on even after trying a hard reset. I was told to make sure none of the ribbon cables popped off and they have not. I also followed the fix it guide on how to remove the logic board and reinstall as this can sometimes fix the problem but no luck. itunes or a computer does not recognize the phone and unfortunatly the laptop that i did my last sync on is broken so I desperatly want to fix it to retrieve all my info. please help!!! many thanks ps i did put a volt meter on battery contacts when i had it apart and battery is fully charged, Could my logic board be put in another working iphone 3gs to retrieve info?

You will need to put you logic board into another iPhone first. From there, you can make a backup and figure out what else is wrong.

-Look on board for any obvious signs of damage or broken connectors.

-Look at dock connector and check for bent pins

-Test LCD. LCDs can go blank giving a false sign of the phone appearing off.

Does the computer recognize a device is plugged in at all when you connect it to the computer?

Was it jail broken?
