Phone will not turn on after screen replacement, caused by a drop.

The phone was dropped from a significant distance. The screen and glass screen protector were shattered along with the phone being bent. It powered on for a couple of days, but after the screen replacement and slight bending to correct the bend it does not power on. I have checked the battery and replaced the battery just in case and all cables look to be connecting properly and in good shape. Battery takes a charge on the connector, but not in the phone. Any advice on how to finish this repair would be great.

When you bent it back into shape, was the logic board still attached to the housing?

My fear is that the bent (and re-shaped) housing led to cracked solder balls under one or more of the IC's. This may end up being very difficult to repair and the 6 Plus is already prone to damage due to flexing and bending (Touch Disease). If you are experienced in probing a logic board, then I would check the main voltages when it is in boot-loop mode (PP_VCC_MAIN, PP_BATT_VCC) and then start checking the PMIC output voltages to see if anything is amiss. Finding bad or missing voltages may help you isolate what part of the board is damaged.

If you are uncomfortable doing this then look for a shop that does micro-soldering repairs.

@refectio I got lucky that the board was not damaged, I will remove it in the future. Thanks for the tip. The problem ended up being a cable issue.
