How do I fix an intermitent backlight issue?

A fee days ago i dropped my phone, and lucky for me it fell flat face down, then in the top left corner of the screen it had a dark spot (barely), but when i press the screen hard enough it darkens a bigger area of the screen.

I took the screen off the phone, turned it on again and the dark spot was gone while the screen was out. So i figured it's a false contact in the backlight connection somewhere, caused by the pressure when the screen is assembled in the phone. Also, the screen will work just fine some times, it's not always darkening in the corner.

I'd like to get some directions here, as I don't really know where to begin to try and fix the connection, or if it's not possible to fix. Thanks!

You are having motherboard issues with the ic chips on your board. With touch disease, there is a simple fix by putting a SIM card on top of you LCD connections and tightening your bracket in top of that. This is add pressure on the chips to allow them to make a better connection. This may work for your backlight issue as well but this does not always work. If this fails, you will need to look at replacing the backlight if chip on the device. This is a difficult task if you do not know what you are doing so I would suggest conntacting a professional for that one.

I don't think this is the case.

It's just either a loose LCD connection (which is fixed by just replugging and pushing on the lcd ribbon cable plug after plugging it in or at worst screen gone faulty which would need to be replaced.

I believe there's something wrong with the screen, because the dark spot appears when i put the screen back on, I'm testing it with the screen out and it works fine.

i double checked and it seems to be something not connecting right on the backlight ribbon that's attached to the screen, as i wiggle it around it acts up. I think I might need to replace the whole screen.
