iPhone 6 no service + no WiFi

hi! i,m just asking this question because i,m still quit new in iphone motherboard repair. a guy dropped his phone and after the drop he had no wifi and no service. do i have to reball the wifi chip and the baseband? or is there maybe something i overlook? ofcourse it could always be something else, but i never had a phone that had no wifi and service.

You'll certainly want to check around the WLAN IC (U5201_RF) but if that doesn't work, then the issue may be in the baseband area and you'll have very little chance of saving this phone. Baseband IC reflows rarely work and when they do it is only for a short period of time.

but i,m not reflowing it, i,m reballing it. or do you mean reballing?

The general feeling in the repair community is that reflow/reball of the baseband IC is not a permanent solution. Feel free try it, it may solve your problem. It's just not a repair I would do and charge someone for.

Why not? I have reballed basebands, nands, Cpu, etc.

oke thanks for your comment! just one more question... if the EMEI code is still there it's not the basband right?

by

Gigabit, thanks for your answer! i was a little bit confused, i know reflowing is not the way to do a repair.. a good reball should be fine
