Adhesive to use for top of camera mode button

The top of the camera mode button fell off of my Sony a77, and I lost it as well as the spring and ball bearing that are inside. I replaced them using the parts from an old body that I have, but I want to make sure that the top doesn't fall off again.

Which adhesive should I use to make sure that it doesn't come off, but also still allows the spring and ball bearing to move properly? Also should I use any cleaner to remove the old residue, and should I lubricate the spring and ball bearing somehow?
