Scramble/Pixelated then flickering screen.

Hi everyone - not sure what to make of this. Screen scrambles/pixelates, then flickers and freezes. Computer seems to run fine. No hard drive clicking or any other unusual sounds. Since it's the screen I'm thinking it could be a connection or the graphics card. I understand computers, but I'm by no means an expert. I'm looking for opinions on what anyone thinks this could be. I do have an image of the problem, but I'm at work and apparently our internet blocking software won't let me attach the image.

Hook it up to an external monitor and see if the problem persists. You have the Nvidia video processor which Apple did a recall on. If the problem persists then it's the Nvidia issue which is very well know. Apple will replace your logic board for free and pay for all the shipping. Do a search on this site for "Nvidia" and you will finds lots of information. If Apple backs down, then go to www.nvidiasettlement.com for information on the class action suit.

Here's where to contact Apple: http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
