PS4 dead and HDD date not backed up

My PS4 12xx was having issues with the optical disc drive I took it apart a couple of times and was able to resolve the issue by taking it apart, cleaning it, and putting it back together Well the drive acted up again and this time while disassembling it I pulled the power supply connector off the motherboard Ouch! By the time I replaced the mother board and optical drive I will probably be $150-170 in parts. I was think about buying a PS4 slim. The problem is that my data is not backed up and I know you cannot just plug the old HDD in the new PS4. Can I pull the old HDD and use a converter cable to USB and use my MAC or PC to get the data off and some how get it onto the new PS4 slim?

Chosen Solution

No. From what I know data is individually encrypted to each console. You can use any method to copy, but nothing can get recognized.

Just sign in your account on the new console, download back your games and cloud backup save data.

Pulled power supply is incredibly easy to repair, there is no need for a new board.
