Why can't I create Settings widget?

I could create an Apps widget via Widgets > Settings both in my former tablet (Galaxy Note 10.1) and in my current smartphone (Moto G4 Plus), but that option is not available in my Galaxy Tab A 9.7. Is there a fix for this issue? TIA.

Options

Which versions of android were you using in the other devices and what is in the Galaxy tab A. Could just be a option available to that particular version. You may just need to upgrade to a newer android system You may also want to look in the google store for an app to help with your widget issue . Hope this helps
