When replacing the keyboard for this model, do I need to replace the keyboard only or the keyboard and the backlight? I'm looking to buy a new keyboard since some keys don't work anymore, yet I'm not sure if I buy the keyboard replacement only or if I buy the keyboard and the backlight.
If anyone can give me advice I would very much appreciate it.

You can replace just the keyboard and reuse the old backlight. This is recommended if you are getting the keyboard from a marketplace like Amazon or eBay; the backlights are usually not original and don't light up evenly
