"The data could not be read. Please turn off the power" Error! Help?

Block Image

(Cropped to show the important part.)

I've already tried auto mode on my DS Lite, and that will cause the error, but, manual mode does the same. Does the fact the save that was previously on it (I did not start a new game) was hacked have anything that caused a forced boot crash? It boots, and you can see the "Copyright Nintendo blah blah blah" screen, but then it crashes a split-second later. (Legit cart from gamestop, if you're wondering.)

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Does it do this with all games or just this one?

It's just this one pokemon cart. (My other Gen 4 carts work fine, along with my gen 5 carts.) It stays on the white pre-copyright text screen ((You know, the flash from white to "Copyright Nintendo, bla bla bla")) longer now though. I'll comment updates if it does anything else.

Your cart is probably broken, go back to gamestop and ask them for a replacement
