upper screen and magnet - black spots on screen

My daughter placed a small magnet on top of the closed DSi and now the upper screen has black spots on it - is there a reset to get rid of spots or is it not fixable??

Options

Magnets do not effect LCD screens (just tested on my LCD Monitor with a high powered earth magnet). It sounds like the screen was pressed on too hard and has a small break. I'm sure there are replacement screens around for it, check ebay for cheap ones.
