Why is top left corner raised after repair?

Hi, I've been repairing iphones for a while but cannot figure out why sometimes when I repair a 6 the top left corner is raised. This has happened on multiple occasions, it doesn't affect performance but you can see the backlight through the side. Does it need adhesive or is it a bad frame on the LCD?

Are you sure the iPhone metal housing isn't dented in or bent?

Also check if battery is bulging too.

I always check all of these if I get screen fitting issues.

It's a common problem. Especially with replacement screens.

It usually has to do with the frames they use during refurbishment. As well as the condition of the corners . if they're bent in or there is any uneven surfaces on the frame (which there is 9/10 times from the drop that caused the crack) then this section will lift. It's usually this left corner because it's the weakest part of the frame. It doesn't have a clip or any support.

Not much can be done unfortunately :/ Aside from getting a 100% original assembly or finding a screen supplier who has excellent frames. I usually advise customers that their bent frame is causing this and it's a good idea to get a case that wraps around the edges. Its cosmetic, and doesn't affect the functionality.

Does this only occur on refurbished screens or does aftermarket do it too?

In my experience it's any screen that's not straight out of Apple manufacturing centers. I have actually tried pulling an original screen from another iphone to test it, and it did have a gap in the same spot. Just not as pronounced as the 3rd party screens. Lots of factors in the refurbishing process that affect how well the screen sits in the housing.

I've yet to find a replacement screen that holds up to the original Apple Screen quality.
