Won't open and TV says no signal

When I turn on TV to "video 2" I get "no signal" . The player itself has an orange light on instead of green and it won't open.

junevkramer not sure what you mean by "turn on TV to "video 2". It might help if you tell us what make and model your TV is. Of course you've tried a different TV and get the same result. Right? I will also help if you tell us how you connected the DVD player to the TV. Composite, S-Video or Component connections all work a bit different. Until we know more about your setup I suggest that you double check the connections and check the user manual for your TV to see what is required depending on the input of the set.

The image just shows you how to connect it to the set.

This from the user manual for your DVD player:

"Set up the system

Select the corresponding setting of the TV set (AV1, AV2, S-Video, DVD etc.).

For VCR or R F modulator connection, select the corresponding turned channel until the DVD screen appears.

If amplifier has been connected, select the corresponding output mode.

Hello,

I just inherited this DVD player and I have the same issue. I am connected via the 5 color cables (2 audio, 3 video), just as the manual says. I have tried on both of my TVs and it says there is no signal. One of my TVs will not even go to the “component” source until something is hooked to it, so I know the TV recgnizes that something is hooked up, but there is no picture and no sound.
