Green power light stuck on, no picture or sound on TV.

I have a 3 year old LG TV model 65LB5200 LED TV. For the last 3 months it has been slow to turn on. Green power light comes on, yet it was taking longer and longer to come on. Last week, turned TV on-Green power light came on, but no picture or sound ever came on.

sucks.

I replaced the entire power board with a new board thinking it was a bad capacitor. Nope. Still doing it.

Green light is steady, no picture no sound. The Tv will not turn off to a red light either. always a green light no matter how many times i unplug or replug it.

no way to reset it?

Main board?

T-con?

a cable?

Hi Tim, I was wondering if you found a solution to this problem, my television is doing the exact same thing

I did. I'll update you with the part number in the morning. It was a simple replacement. Under 50.00. (Replaced a board - Super simple to do) Will update the actual part number in the morning - stand by.

Hi Jesse Westlund, I am having the same problem with my TV. Green light stays on but nothing else. What do I need to do to fix it?

by

butterflykisses7846 if you read through the comments and answers to this questions, you will see that it was the main board that has failed. All this will be specific to whatever make and model your TV is as well as what the errors are.

@timmy42483 since you've already replaced the power board, the next check would be the Main board. You do want to check for obvious damaged components as well as the voltages that go from your PSU to the main board.

I replaced the Main Board (both boards) and Bingo....Like a new TV. Just wish I would have started with the main's first before buying the power board.

Do you have the part number(s)? Is it something fairly easy to do myself? I’m fairly handy at DIY things.

The main board part number for 65LB5200 is 5800-A6M630-0P20. I believe the 60LB5200 also uses the same main board.

I have this exact problem. Leading up to completely no screen, about 3 yrs into the TV, the screen occasionally had faded picture for hours, then after turning off TV for the night, next day would be OK. Then the problem came back again a week later, the screen looked dim again. Eventually, after 4 yrs, the screen finally went black when trying to turn on. Green light is constantly on, but no picture no sound. When I opened the back cover, I can hear very faint ticking/tapping sound coming from the left side of the TV. Visually no capacitor is blown, as I found people suggested to look on the internet. As it turns out, my TV had a bad 'digital board' through trial and error of replacing the boards. The digital board is next to the main board, a smallish green square board on the opposite side of the beige power supply board. Part number is 5800-H58E38-MP10 .

Update (02/22/2020)

Found a replacement on eBay for under $35. Took the old one out, put the replacement in. Viola, screen came on! Link to picture of TV with back cover off: imgur.com/a/L2xUKKj

Here are some of the part numbers I came across:

Main board (L shape green board): 5800-A6M630-0P20

Digital board (small square green board): 5800-H58E38-MP10

Power supply (beige): 168P-P5F041-W1

LED driver board (center behind black cover): C650S06E02A

T-Con board (bottom center): V650HK1-CS6

Good luck!
