iPhone 5s not charging

I got in a Iphone 5s that's not charging. The charging symbols pops up when i plug in the cable but then it doesn't even show its charging. It just notices when i plug it in. I replaced the battery and charging dock already and still the same result. Anyone have an idea what could be the problem?

Update (05/17/2017)

Is there a way how i can be sure it's the U2 charging chip? And how easy is it to replace for someone with a little bit of microsoldering expirience?

Update (06/07/2017)

I removed the chip and tried to clean it good. I attached a few pics, what do you think? I welcome all feedback because i'm still very new to this. Waiting on the parts to arrive to solder on the new chip.

I think you need to define what "a little bit of micro-soldering experience" is. Attempting to replace a micro-BGA for the first time on a device that you wish to repair is a recipe for disaster. If you have some old, dead boards, you could practice on those first. If you apply too much heat, you can damage surrounding parts.

I've done lots of soldering larger parts, but the smallest succesful microsoldering i've done is soldering the charging port on a galaxy grand prime. I have one board which i could use for practice. How much heat does it take to take it off? I can adjust the heat for my heat gun so i wouldn't want it to high.

There's a huge difference between a USB charging port and a micro-BGA chip. Plus, using a heat gun is like watering your flowers with a firefighters hose; I don't recommend it at all.

To do this properly, you need a hot air station with temperature & flowrate control. Look at this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n03D7a8u...). Keep in mind, Jason is highly experienced and makes it look much easier that it is.

Sorry, i didn't explain correctly, i have a Xtronic hot air station which i refered to as my heat gun. My mistake. I agree, with a normal heat gun it is like watering flowers with a firefighters hose. Thanks for the info.

No worries, you'd be surprised at how often folks think they can micro-solder with heat guns because they a saw a video on Youtube. Depending on how precise (or not) your station is, set it to ~370C with a flow rate that won't blow everything off the board. Better to start low and then increase. Also, use a nozzle of ~6mm. Practice on a dead board first.

Alright thank you, i will give it a try, were would you recomend buying the chip, ebay?

With minimal soldering experience this will be a major job to take on. Not quite sure where exactly to buy the chip as well.
