The home button won't click or work
I have just replace the screen for my iPhone 5s and the home button won't work or click when I put the screen back to normal but when. I have it out it clicks and it works

Try this first, bend the metal plate behind the home button outwards so the metal plate is further away from the home button.
Check for any glue residue in the home button hole (on the screen) also check if the home button itself is clean from dust / grime / debris.
Try loosening the two screws for the home button metal plate holder like TY said.

Greeting Miz! Is the EMI shield over your home button on upside down? If it's clicking when it's open but not when it's closed it could be that. The sheild had a little extension (it looks like a chimney on a house when it's right side up) that needs to be pointing upward not downwards yes. Let me know if this helps (:

It is pointing the right way i don't know what's wrong but I need it fixed
When the device is closed does the home button make the clicking sound at all? If not your screws might be on a little too tight.
Nope it doesn't when it's on it and I press it it's too deep it doesn't click

You where correct I bent it and it worked
