@ripi2 "OI" uses a GSM network, so your phone should be a GSM version. Start off by giving us the engraved model number on the back cover. Should be anyone of these A1453, A1457, A1518, A1528,A1530, A1533. AT&T and T-Mobile are selling the GSM model (A1533) so that would be a board you might be looking for. The imei number engraved on the same cover may also reveal more about your phone.

The GSM model supports only GSM [Model A1533 (GSM): UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 13, 17, 19, 20, 25)]

The fun part with this one is that a Verizon board supports both CDMA and GSM

[Model A1533 (CDMA): CDMA EV-DO Rev. A and Rev. B (800, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz); UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 13, 17, 19, 20, 25)]. All you will have to do is replace the SIM card and turn CDMA browsing off.

AT&T locked GSM boards are, at the time this answer was written, still available at iFixit. After that you might get the carrier that the board is locked to, to get it officially unlocked.

So should I buy the Verizon logic board? And will I be able to unlock it easily?

by

It will be easier but maybe a harder board to get.

Renan Cabral , The logic boards for the iPhone 5S are out of stock. It appears the logic boards that were stocked by iFixit were locked to Verizon carrier and may not work for you. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

What the? Ok, so he's right. They don't really keep stock, for no one really want buy em. Doesn't make sense. Verizon iPhones are naturally unlockable. If it doesn't happen straight away, just update the carrier settings, and it should be good to go. Since I've never been to Brasil, can I 100% say this will work? I guess not. However this works for every carrier except sometimes spirit. So there's that
