Screen unresponsive after wake and it is replaced.

Hi. I dropped my iPhone 6S and the screen cracked, although it was still working. I bought a new screen and was assured it is of good quality. However, after replacing it I found that after the phone wake the screen is unresponsive. I then put it back to sleep and wake it again, then it will respond fine. Even for the rest of the time I use it. It happens most of the time when I use the home button to wake it.

Also, when it sleep and I get a call I cant answer because the screen does not respond.

As for the rest everything works just fine.

Any advice will help.

Thanks

This could be a number of things:

- Bad aftermarket screen

- Screen forced in without bending dented frame corners or sides of frame back.

- Whole iPhone metal housing bent enough that the screen does not sit flat on the phone.

- Power + Home button hold for 10 seconds to hard shutdown phone not tried yet.

Hi Ben.

Thank you for your answer.

I paid particular attention to not bending or denting the frame and that the metal housing is not bent. Everything is square and fits perfectly. Even when installing the connections on the main board, done with extreme care. Done the hard reset a couple of times. So the only thing that remain is that its a bad aftermarket screen.

It is just soooo expensive, not the screen really, its the courier cost to get it to South Africa. sometimes more than the screen itself.

None-the-less, gotta keep on keeping on!
