The phone icon has stopped working. how do I male phone calls?

when i click the phone icon on my phone, i get a message saying 'unfortunately, phone has stopped'!!! i am unable to male phone calls, return calls, see call history etc. however, i am still able to call from the text page if a text from a paeticular number is there, but i am not able to access contacts or anything through phone. i need the dialer to make new calls!!! please help! this phone is only 3 weeks old, i paid a lot for it, and am very disappointed with this. this malfunction is also eating into my phone service plan time, so it has just been a big loss for me all round. i have tried to power off, amd reboot the phone several times, with no result, and also update wireless, but it willnot update! this is disgusting! blu should refund my money so that i can get a decent phone asap!!

Hi @meerameera,

What is the model number of your Blu phone?

Find the Dialer app in Settings > Apps > All, tap to enter then scroll down to Clear Cache option, tap and follow the prompts. Restart the phone.

If this doesn't resolve the problem try the Clear Data option in the Dialer app

As a last resort try the factory restore feature of the phone. Be aware that this will erase all your user data and downloaded apps. it will restore the phone to its' factory default condition. It will be like when you first bought it.

hi. the model is R1 HD.

there is nothing in the dialer app settings that says clear cache? or clear data.

i downloaded a dialer app from playstore that has a dialpad, allows me to see call history, make calls. i can still receive calls on the old phone app but i cannot see the calls missed when i open the new dialer, i can see the number of the missed call (but it does not show on the icon that a call has been missed.i only see it on the first phone icon--shown by a number onthe icon,1,2etc.

the second dialer i downloaded green like the watsapp one ad automatically had all my phone and email contacts. is this working on data?

should i remove the first phone app and is there a way to reinstall?

i dont want to go to factory settings as i don't want to lose contacts details.

and apparently the dialer i downloaded is a trial version that will expire in 5 days! so any help fast to restore my phone app would be much appreciated

Hi

Just verifying that you went to the Dialer app appearance in the Settings > App area of the phone and not looked at the settings of the Dialer app itself when you open the app.

Can't you back up your contacts reset the phone and then restore the contacts from the backup? http://www.bluproducts.com/r1-hd-device/...
