Check if you didnt disconnect any cable. There is a signal one near the battery connector

Did you take out the logic board? The antenna contacts to the iPhone housing are held in by two phillips head screws that screw into the iPhone's housing at the top of the logic board.
Either you need to put the screws back on there or replace the antenna (Usually gets ripped when not taking the two screws out and pulling out logic board) which is not an easy thing to do as shown here:
