3ds does not open ds games, but will open 3ds games

So, my 3ds of nearly 5 years is failing me. Happens to be when I also get new ds games to enjoy.

My 3ds does not open any ds game, although it does recognize the game, shows it on the home menu, and even makes the noise for when you open a game. But the screen stays completely black and plays music from the theme I have installed. Nothing else.

Yet having tested out my 3ds games, they'll open just fine, play just fine, and have no issues. It's not any of the PINS either as I've cleaned the games as well, and the 3ds pins.

If anyone wants a video to see what I mean, I am more than willing to supply one.
