RCA 10 Viking II RCT6603W4

Among many unexplained features, the in-box or online documentation is very poor and does not provide any information about input and output of various file types that use the USB connection. What is needed is an app that helps transfer files back and forth. Also, the ability to connect external dives is very tricky. It seems to need a certain format, and when it doesn't see it, tries to format an existing already formatted drive to something else. Is this new format completely compatible with pcs? This is a very good tablet, but the designers/engineers give little regard for buyers who need to know how to fully use the unit's features. As a former senior technical writer, I know what I am talking about. Can you offer me any assistance here?

OK, first off, you'll need to familiarize yourself with how Android works, for one, drives may or may not automatically mount on Android due to the version of Android your tablet is running and if the manufacture added the feature, and it will also depend on what format the drive is in (NTFS, FAT32, EXFAT, etc.)

If you are just trying to move files to/from your tablet from your computer, then you can simply connect your table to your computer using a USB cable. If it's a Windows computer then you shouldn't have to do anything but look for it in My Computer, but if its a Mac you need to download the Android File Transfer tool from Google.
