My charger is very loose when I plug it into cells' USB port. S3

My charger is loose when I plug it into the cell phone. This has been going on awhile. If I moved it around, I used to be able to charge it. Now, it isn't working. Other chargers don't work either. Also loose. I have one that is a bit tighter I hook up to my PC, but that is failing now too. I don't know what to do. It is a Samsung S3.

If I take it to repair shop, can anyone tell me what would be a fair cost to replace the USB port inside the phone? I am not able to do it myself due to bad eyesight, and arthritis. Thankyou.

toza37, You are probably best to pop into a couple local cell/computer repair shops and have them take a look and give you an estimate on the charge port repair, as prices can very widely from state to state, city to city, etc.

Find link below does quote on repair for $28.00 US + shipping, always read the reviews, etc.. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

It's a simple fact, thin metal bends.

Over time through the stresses of what goes on, the metal bends and it makes the port loose.

The best way to fix it is to just replace the port, which on this phone requires very good soldering skills.

The easiest way is to open the phone and then using some pliers, carefully squeeze the port back to a smaller size.

You can follow the guide below on how to remove the motherboard, which you dont need to do, just open up the back until you can see the micro usb port and carefully bend it back.
