My watch does not turn on. I get wet with water. It only vibrates in the charging base. Can it be the battery or some other component? When I touch the screen it vibrates but it is black. I hit the power button and vibrate. I disarm and only connect the battery to the main board and do the same. Do not even connect the other pins as the main screen. Which of the 4 components can be damaged? The battery The battery is almost 2 years old. The screen is oled? LG W110 Black Center Frame? The main board I think is the mainboard? The back cover would almost certainly discard it. I hope they can help me to buy the correct answer. Thank you so much.

Hola! Despues de unos días mi pantalla encendió pero solo esta visible cuando lo pongo en el cargador.

Cuando lo saco del cargador se apaga al instante. Supongo que con esta señal puede ser la batería dañada no?

Que opinan?

Hello! After a few days my screen went on but it is only visible when I put it in the charger.

When I take it out of the charger it goes off instantly. I suppose with this signal can be the damaged battery no?

What do you think?

Hi,

As you know water and electronics and electricity are not a good mix.

The minerals in the water cause corrosion and the water also provides circuit paths for the electricity which were not in the watch's operating design and could damage the components. The corrosion process starts immediately and will not stop until it has been thoroughly cleaned away

First do not try to charge your watch and then you need to remove the battery as soon as possible from the watch to minimize further damage.''

Then you need to dis-assemble the rest of the watch and clean all the affected parts using Isopropyl Alcohol 90%+ to remove all traces of corrosion and water. Do not use "rubbing alcohol" as in some cases this is only 70% or less and is not as effective. If you do check the label to verify the amount

Here is a link that in general describes the process.

Electronics Water Damage

As always with electronics, especially surface mounted PCBs be gentle when handling and especially when brushing away the corrosion. You do not want to remove any components from the board.

If this process seems too daunting, take your phone to a reputable, professional mobile phone repair service or electronics repair service experienced in water damage repair and ask for a quote for a repair. If you decide to do this, do it sooner than later.

Muchas Gracias por la respuesta! Yo desarmé el reloj y dejé las piezas en alcohol unos segundos y sequé y sigue igual.

Hi,

Use a magnifying glass and a strong light to visually inspect all the components to ensure that at least they look OK and are not damaged or loose etc

Can you measure the battery voltage to ensure that it is correct?

Hi @golfsilver2006

While it could be the battery, the watch vibrating when you touch the screen leads me to believe it might be the display.

I would try, charge the battery for a while maybe even overnight.

Then try to get the watch to turn on/turn off and see if there is any sign of life, vibration, sound if it is still connected to your smartphone you could try calling it and see if it rings. If you find something that makes you think it is on and working(when not charging) then it is the display, and you will have to replace it.

Otherwise, replace the battery, if it still doesn't work replace the display.

P.S.

For next time, more information on when the issue started, things you(or someone else) did that might have caused it, etc. Would be very helpful when it comes to asking questions like this the more info the better. A good question should include these things.

Background, when it started, what might have happened to cause it.

The issue.

The type of device.

What you have tried, Everything is not a good answer.

It can be nice to know what you are willing to try, some people are willing to repair it themselves others want to know where to get it repaired.

I have been guilty of not providing enough information myself.

Vibrate vibrate but I did not notice if it is connected to the clock. I did the test to connect or not the oled screen and vibrate in the same way whether connected or not. Follow the black screen.

Another piece of information may serve to guide me. When I touch the ignition button, it vibrates but as if it were several times irregularly, as if it were in a short circuit, not in the normal way as before it vibrated.
