Block Image

Hi, I Was Playing 8 Ball Pool On My Laptop & Then Suddenly I Noticed a Thin Green Line Appeared On Top Of Screen... & The Screen Goes Blurry... I Shutdown The Laptop & Turned It On After 15 Minutes But Now The Screen Is Pink... Sometimes The Pinkness Goes But When The Pinkness Gone The Screen Becomes Blurry & That Thin Green Line Is Permanent.. I Have Tried It on External Monitor & It's Fine So It's Not GPU Issue.. What Could Be The Problem?

Hi @anausama ,

Here is a link to the service manual for a HP 15 Notebook PC.

In it you will find information on the pre-requisite steps and the procedures to remove the display panel and also how to gain access to the motherboard. It is useful as this will allow you to check the video cable connections at both ends, i.e. the screen end and the motherboard end, in case it is a faulty or loose connection that is the cause of the problem.

If all appears to be OK it may be that the LCD screen itself is faulty and will have to be replaced.

P. 65 of the manual gives the part numbers for the various LCD panels available for the different variants of the laptop (it should also be printed on the back of the LCD panel itself).

If it is determined that the LCD panel needs to be replaced search online using the relevant panel part number only to find a supplier that suits you best.

Hopefully this is of some help

If you connected it to an external monitor and it was fine, then it's your LCD. Replace your LCD and youll be fine. They can be found on eBay by reputable sellers who have 1 and 2 year warranties.
