Just cleaned the heat sync and reassembled the console but it (as it did before the cleaning) turns on, flashes a red dot, and the power supply light just turns orange again and it powers off.
Please help

Study a couple? But this is a temporary fix. You should really remove the chips. Tin the pads. Reball the chips. I'm actually supposed to do this, for this model soon. I'll see if I can make a video...on iFixit...

Ok I just did the reset as described in the video and it still shuts off immediately. Might be power supply issues but I have no way to tell at the moment.
You'll have to go in....I mean a hair dryer you should have on hand, and thermal grease is pretty cheap. I think all radio shacks are closed..obviously there's eBay..I heart Walmart actually, has this kine stuff
Just tried a replacement power supply and that didn't work either.
