Hi,

Use a strong light and a magnifying glass to visually inspect the charge port.

Check that the pins are all there (should be 5) and that they are straight and parallel with each other.

Also check that there is no lint trapped in the port enclosure.

If there is lint trapped there, do not use a metal probe to remove it. Try using a vacuum cleaner first and try to suck it out. If that doesn't work try using a wooden toothpick to very gently remove the debris. You do not want to damage the pins at all.

If the charge port seems OK, plug in a cable (it needn't be attached to anything) and then very gently try moving the plug from side to side or up and down.

If it feels loose then the port most probably has become disconnected from the systemboard and the phone will have to be opened for the problem to be further diagnosed and most probably then have to be repaired.

As most people generally do not have the requisite skills or tools to effect a loose port repair, I suggest that you contact a reputable, professional mobile phone repair service and ask for a quote.

Hopefully this is of some help.
