Why does the washer drum tilt toward the back of the unit?

the washer drum tilts toward the back of the unit and causes a gap between the drum and the seal. could this be due to bad springs. i have already put new shock absorbers in as the old ones were bad. not sure where to check next.

Yes. The springs are worn. Replace all of them at the same time.

If you have a front load washer, the tub bearing and spider gear could have failed. That is an expensive and difficult repair.

It's really not that difficult. Plenty of videos on how to do it. If you are a woman you may need the assist of a man to help.

No joy? Is your washer a top load or front load? Please include the washer make and model number.
