Connection Jack has exposed wire - how to repair

My device is charged and blue light is on. All of a sudden I no longer was able to get any sound out of the speaker. I noticed on the wire leading up to the connection jack some of the copper wire is exposed. Is there a way to replace or repair this? Thank you.
