Why is my replacement screen triggering Siri when cover closes?

Hello!

I have a replacement screen that looks great and intact. No issues with touch at all. However, once I put the iPad back into its case (STM, has magnets) and close the cover, Siri will trigger. Any suggestions?

does the case wrap around the front of the device? because it sounds like the home button bracket might be to tight and the pressure of the case could be holding down the home button.

Thanks for your reply! However, even with it out of the case, and just laying the top cover on it, it will be triggered.

sounds like the sleep sensor is shorting and affecting the home button. both the magnets attacked to the back of the screen and thier meshes were transferred from the old screen?

Yes, everything is transferred.

There are two SmartCover magnets on the inside of the digitizer (see Step 49 - 52 of this guide). Did you migrate them over to the replacement screen? If so, it is possible they became dislodged or incorrectly positioned.
