Digitizer cable connector stucked in the logic board socket

Hi,

I did get digitiser replacement. I connected digitiser cable connector to the socket. Suddenly, cable went off but cable connector stayed in the socket on the logic board. Any idea how to remove it safely please?

I'm a bit miffed, and it appears no one else answered this. So you removed the plate, and attached the new connector cable? And it broke off? If that's the case, scoop, don't pry, the new connector cable off the socket, then return it. There's something wrong with that cable, if it's breaking like that. Get it exchanged for a good one. Don't take no for an answer!

You can try heating it up gently with a hair drier..possibly the heat will cause some metal expansion that will make it easier to remove. In any case a moderate heat will provide a slightly better flexibility and help prevent breaking of parts.
