famous crackbook problem , how to fix?

I'm having the famous crackbook problem. It's a fissure in the upper case, you can see in a lot of macbooks , see google images http://goo.gl/N6MhA

It happens at least with late 2007 A1181 macbook (I think more models are affected)

I want to know if I can buy parts of the latest macbook's (2009) and if this parts will fit on my model .

The affected parts are

Front Display Bezel ( wich makes the pressure with magnets)

And upper case ( wich is the part that cracks)

I can still try to call apple , but I want to know if can

ask for newer parts.( the ones that dont crack :) and look better)

I don't want to get the same parts , It's gonna happend again for sure in a few months. There is a lot of people reporting 3 changes , even more.

But my macbook is out of warranty period , so they(apple support) probably change 1 time. And then I will have the same problems.

What should I do ?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I would talk to Apple and see if they will cover it for you. There is no permanent fix for this as far as I know, the replacement parts will have the same issue. I have noticed the replacements we get from Apple now include the lcd plastic bezel as well with the top case.

I agree, take it to the Apple store, and they will replace it for free. I've taken in at least a dozen and they've never refused. The solution for it not happening again is, well, be more careful with your laptop! :-)

I think Apple still replaces this Topcase and the Bezel with a newer model. Just verify with Apple Care and head then to the next Apple store.

Yeah that happened to my white MacBook too... as well as everyone I know who's ever bought that. I personally think it's a waste of money to buy the parts, they're expensive and it just happens again. You could try maybe gluing the pieces back, or maybe melting the plastic?
