MacBook Pro logic board stuck?

I need to change the thermal paste of my macbook pro 15" but I have the same problem than this thread: MacBook logic board stuck?

I removed everything but the board is stuck, pivoting around a point just behind the ethernet port. I've already spent 2 days browsing the web for this issue and trying to force it (hope it's not broken already).

Pivot point is somewhere inside the small blue circle on this screenshoot:

Closer look at the stuck part:

Do you have any suggestion ?

Please tell us exactly which 15" MBP you are working on. Also what problems you were having that you felt the need to replace the thermal paste.

I've had issues pulling the logic board where I needed to use a flexible spatula to break the bonding between the upper case and the speaker as some glue around the microphone adheres.

Heres a view from the other side:

The surface between the speaker and mic often has some glue.

Here's the full IFIXIT guide which you should follow: MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Mid 2010 Logic Board Replacement

But before you go down this path why do you need to remove the logic board. We might have a better answer if we knew the full story.

Thanks it worked. I'm glad my thermal paste came with a spatula.
